The year is 2384, Sol calendar date October 25th. The human species, under the influence of gravity based FTL travel, carried their hopes and dreams into nearby star systems of their galaxy. Once thought to be the final solution to war among humanity in the 21st century, it only further entrenched the species into factionalism and the fight for control over resources.
Trillions of lives spread out and multiplied over 3 centuries of unfettered expansion; Megacities scattered across planets, moons, and orbiting space stations. The ancient hopes of alien life were left empty outside the remnants of simple bacteria.
As conflicts rose, piracy among the stars became a common trade; privateers hired for the dirty clandestine work of interstellar proxy war. Most died young, but a few over the centuries gained infamy that young street rats in the Yakuza controlled lunar megacities saw in the starry skies more clearly than any constellation.
The careful interstellar balance is pulled toward the next inevitable large-scale conflict as first contact with the unknown alien FTL vessel is made. The United Soleil System and Tau Ceti Empire prepare for all out-war attempting to parlay with the vessel while a lesser known, shadowy, paramilitary faction calling itself Homo Draconus fully reveals itself.
You play as the feared space pirate, the Chinokitsune (血の狐), who unwittingly becomes involved in a large-scale interstellar conflict where the fate of humanity across the stars is at stake and directly tied to a clandestine paramilitary outfit calling themselves Homo Draconus, who cross the stars in a mysterious radioactive planetoid they call Lost Eden. As you desperately try to escape Lost Eden, you'll battle through elite paramilitary operatives actively hunting you, a mysterious android, deep alien labyrinths, mutated lifeforms running amok, a nightmarish dimensional entity, your own memories, and a past love.
Stealth will be your greatest strategy to traverse Lost Eden undetected. Alerting the Homo Draconus to your presence will only complicate your escape and risk death. It's not only security forces you will need to be aware of; countless scientists and maintenance workers all reside on the base, some braver than others, but will alert the guards all the same. A few might even be convinced to help you.
When stealth isn't an option, you'll be forced to learn how to use a new alien device that mysteriously grafted itself to your arm. It's not your usual light weaponry fare, but with enough practice you might even unlock its full potential...or worse.
Will you save the stars from the mysteries of Lost Eden, or cower in your own indecision and fear, leaving the universe to its own fate? The choice is yours Chinokitsune.
