The game has
The year is 2245 AD. The Sol system is split between several feuding factions. Earth and moon are ruled by the Commonwealth, the strongest human faction in Sol. The gas giants Jupiter and Saturn are home to Ousters, genetically engineered human subspecies. Mars is a divided world contested by native Bora colonists and newly arrived megacorps from Earth. In the Valley of Mariners the Bora find themselves at war with Gilead systems, a Terran mining megacorp hellbent on sieging this valuable location by force. The war provides oppurtunities for mercenary units seeking to make a fortune as both sides offer missions and contracts to fight for their side.
In Combat Rover you find yourself in the role of a mercenary rover pilot during Operation Storm, the name for Gileads assault on Valles Marineris. You will fight in a land war on Mars, in a setting inspired by realism and hard science fiction. No aliens, no faster than light travel just a speculative look at what a war on the red planet could be like.
This is a very early tech demo for Combat Rover. Intended to show what the graphics of the game would look like and the feel of vehicle movement and shooting mechanics. We have not added gameplay content such as missions or fully fleshed out factions and their vehicles yet. All enemies seen are place holders. The game will change drastically as it undergoes further development and this very raw tech demo should not be taken as a representative of the final product.
