Runeborn is a dark fantasy roguelike that merges deckbuilding with a slot-machine-like mechanic. Forge your runebook, crush enemies, and combine trinkets of boundless power to destroy the forces of Despair!

MATCH ELEMENTAL RUNES 

Cast spells to attack the enemy. Each cast randomizes the runes in the columns of your runebook like spinning reels on a slot machine. Damage is then dealt by matching the results along five different spell lines. You can strategically hold up to 8 runes to lock them in place while the other runes spin. Meditating allows you to search for more matching runes to hold before casting, increasing your chances of making larger matches and dealing more damage!

DECK-BUILD YOUR RUNEBOOK 

Increase your chances of matching runes by customizing the columns of runes in your runebook in a unique deck-building experience. Add, remove, and modify the runes that can appear in each column to match your chosen strategy. Add amulets and auras to your runes to enhance them with additional effects when they are cast. 

COLLECT HUNDREDS OF TRINKETS 

Buy and sell trinkets to find synergies and crazy combos across 150 trinkets. Trinkets can increase your damage, add damage multipliers, trigger runes multiple times, give you extra holds, make normal runes wild, and so much more! 

FIGHT DOZENS OF ENEMIES 

Start each level with a meaningful choice between enemies with unique abilities. Balance the risk from stronger foes with a greater coin reward to spend across five specialized shops. Elites and bosses provide extra challenges along your journey. 

EVERY RUN IS RANDOMIZED 

With hundreds of options and choices available between trinkets, scrolls, enemies, and more, no two runs will ever be the same!
